VirtualFairground

Thanks tothe increasing tourism and growing crowds, Amsterdam’s city centre can feellike an amusement park. Local residents are getting more and more annoyed andencouraging the municipality to do something about it.
Two Lamps

两盏巨大的灯矗立在黄金弯两侧的灯柱上,形成一道独特的风景。设计师 Jeroen Henneman 特别为该河湾设计了这款 “两盏灯”。此处曾是阿姆斯特丹最富有的人居住的地方,目前是律师,银行家,保险从业者的办公地点。
The twogigantic lamps that appear between lampposts on the Golden Bend are a wonderfulsight. Jeroen Henneman created 'Two Lamps' specifically for this beautiful partof the canal; it’s where the wealthiest people in Amsterdam once lived and wherelawyers, bankers and insurance advisors now work.

If youhave arachnophobia, you might want to avoid this bridge since the biggestspider you’ve ever seen is perched prominently on top of it. Groupe LAPS’'SPIDER on the Bridge' consists of 80 spiders, each 2-metres wide, made oftubes containing LED light. The light is programmed in such a way that thecreatures appear to actually crawl around.

The resolution of the images that Felipe Prado’s'Picto Sender Machine' produces is not only lower than we’re used to but isactually lower than the resolution of the first-ever digital photograph from1957.

Presenting complicated scientific theories in aplayful, creative way – it’s what Stefan Reiss does like no other. It’s notsurprising then that Reiss found inspiration for his artwork 'O.T. 976' in afamous theory that tries to explain everything in our universe.

Something very special happens when you read thistext. Information, shaped like light, enters your eye. Through a complex systemof nerve- and sensory cells, the information is then translated into stimulithat your brain will receive.

用光作画-听起来很魔幻,而且不可能,但其实人们从1889年起就开始这么做了,将光划过黑暗的地方,然后用照相机慢慢捕捉其移动的轨迹。
Painting with light - it sounds magical butimpossible. But people have been doing it for a long time – since 1889! It’snot difficult to do, you move a lamp through a dark space and capture thesemovements in a photograph using a camera with a slow shutter speed.
